The LIMES PLUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal must ensure that their work is original, accurately represents their own research, and complies with accepted principles of research and publication ethics.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before and, where necessary, during the peer-review process using appropriate plagiarism detection software. The Journal considers plagiarism in all its forms, including direct copying, mosaic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, redundant publication, improper paraphrasing, and the use of another person’s ideas, data, images, tables, or text without appropriate acknowledgment, to be serious violations of publication ethics.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and referenced. Quotations must be clearly identified, and permission must be obtained where required for the reproduction of copyrighted material. Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of plagiarism or evidence of academic misconduct may be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the Journal reserves the right to issue corrections, retract the article, notify the author’s institution or funding agency where appropriate, and take any other action consistent with recognized publication ethics.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy

The Journal recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including generative AI systems, may assist authors in activities such as language editing, grammar improvement, formatting, translation, literature organization, coding assistance, or data visualization. However, AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot assume responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, originality, or ethical accountability of scholarly work.

Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the Journal, including the accuracy of facts, analyses, interpretations, references, citations, figures, tables, and conclusions, regardless of whether AI tools were used during manuscript preparation.

The use of AI tools to fabricate, manipulate, falsify, or misrepresent research data, images, results, citations, peer-review reports, or any part of the scientific record is strictly prohibited. Likewise, AI-generated content must not infringe copyright, violate confidentiality, or include fabricated or non-existent references.

Where AI tools have made a substantial contribution to manuscript preparation beyond routine language editing, authors should disclose their use in an appropriate section of the manuscript (such as the Acknowledgements or a dedicated “AI Use Statement”), identifying the tool used and describing its purpose. Such disclosure promotes transparency while ensuring that authors retain full responsibility for the published work.

The Journal reserves the right to evaluate manuscripts for potential AI-generated content and may request clarification, supporting documentation, or revisions where concerns arise regarding originality, authenticity, or research integrity.

By submitting a manuscript to the LIMES PLUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, authors affirm that the work is original, ethically conducted, free from unacceptable plagiarism, and that any use of artificial intelligence has been disclosed appropriately and complies with this policy.
